NHS Southend CCG would like to ensure that you, our public, understand how you can get involved in your local health service. Your views are important to us as a CCG and we are waiting to hear from you. There are a variety of ways in which you can get involved.
Firstly, ask at your GP practice about how you can join their Patient Participation Group (PPG). If you are either a chair or a nominated representative of a PPG, you can then also seek to join the Patient Participation Group Forum.
We also have a number of networks which have opportunities for patient involvement, for instance, diabetes, MSK, and stroke. Please note that you need to either have these conditions, or be a parent or carer of someone who has these conditions, in order to be eligible to join.
All service redesign has a requirement for patient engagement, so please do consider getting involved. You may also wish to get involved with third sector organisations (or voluntary services), such as SAVS or Healthwatch Southend.
When you have identified which group you would like to get involved with, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org stating your name, what you are interested in and why, and what you hope to both contribute and achieve. Alternatively, you can write to us at our head office: NHS Southend Clinical Commissioning Group, Floor 6, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Victoria Avenue, Southend SS2 6ER.
If you want to have your say on the big decisions on health care in Southend and how the CCG spends its budget then join our Supporters Scheme.
